The Champagne Devaux is a prestigious brand founded under the Union Auboise Cooperative and is currently owned by over 800 skilled growers who work to produce and allocate only the best fruit for their premium non-vintage and vintage Cuvees. The label originates from the heart of the Cote Des Bar and is sourced from a pool of approximately 1400 hectares, with only 100 hectares dedicated to the Devaux range.
To ensure the desired flavours and character are developed, barrel fermentation and traditional champagne production techniques are utilized. However, what sets Devaux apart is the innovative approach and expertise of Chef De Cave Michel Parisot, who has been with the brand for over 25 years, developing the "House Style" and champagne production.
Devoted to delivering freshness and balance, the brand's focus is on using only the highest quality fruit from carefully selected parcels/vineyards, resulting in a complex and diverse "house" style.
One of their rare additions is the Devaux Blanc de Blanc Magnum 1.5L 2006, a collectors bottle made with 100% Chardonnay from grapes grown in the Côte des Blancs. With a minimum aging of 14 years and a dosage of 5g/l, this champagne is an exceptional addition to their range. The magnum bottle size not only adds to the luxurious appearance but also offers benefits to the aging process, allowing the champagne to mature more gracefully due to its larger volume and slower oxygenation.
