Located in the heart of the town of Chablis, with a very rich history dating back to 1540, Domaine Pinson was among the first winemakers in Chablis to bottle their wines for public sale in 1880 when they also exported their first wine to America. The ‘Frères’ in the name are brothers Laurent and Christophe Pinson. The Domaine today is run by Charlène and her father Laurent Pinson. Charlène started making the wine here in 2008 after finishing a degree in viticulture and winemaking in Beaune and then gaining plenty of experience working in the Rhône Valley.
Made from 25-year-old vines, South Facing, with very white chalky soils this is a very small production. There are only 5 producers in Chablis that make this Premier Cru wine. This wine is fermented in stainless steel before being aged in 4-5-year-old barrels for 8 to 9 months.
