Pingus is an icon of Spanish winemaking, producing some of the most sought-after bottles in the country, if not the world.
"Flor" is the village wine produced by Dominio de Pingus, with grapes sourced from 18 parcels across 21 hectares and various soil types in Ribera del Duero, Spain.
Winemaker and founder Peter Sisseck is an icon in the Spanish winemaking crowd, so even his village wines are collector-worthy items. The vines are all managed organically and biodynamically, with each parcel hand-picked and fermented separately in stainless steel foudres with indigenous yeasts.
Blending takes place before malo, before 16 months of maturation in French oak barriques (30% new). A gorgeous balance of power, elegance, silkiness, and spice.
Blackberries, black cherries, and hot crushed stones with cement and black licorice. Subtle yet complex aromas.
