Wines inspired by the spirit of place - ‘L’esprit de lieu’. The wines of Terres Fidèles are created in the Roussillon and surrounding regions, a place of remarkable stories where layers of history and cultures are embedded in the raw and wild landscape.
Grenache Blanc is one of the most underrated varieties and this example show why. But beware that this is a grape variety that impresses with subtlety rather than sheer power so don’t expect fireworks – these wines build complexity and texture with time in the glass. Made with fruit grown down near Carcassonne with a little Viognier in the mix, it is pale straw in colour before showing quite generous melon, herbal, floral, and pithy fruit aromas. The palate is then dry and zesty, with a gentle grip and nice volume. Acid is fresh but there's also an attractive creaminess to the texture before delivering a long and elegant finish. Excellent value and a good introduction to what this variety can do.
