Olmo’s Reward, named after Dr Harold Olmo, who first identified the viticultural potential of the isolated Frankland River region, is an elegant blended Cabernet. The varietal makeup of this single-vineyard wine shifts with each season, but it’s a story that Cabernet Franc has led for the past decade or more. This remains the intention for this wine in the future, too. The concentrated palate has fine-grained tannins, dark chocolates and savoury, earthy notes leading to a generous and long finish.
This estate-grown Bordeaux blend has become a model of consistency for an ever-increasing number of years. Cassis, blackcurrant, olive, spice, redcurrant, savoury tannins and oak all coalesce on the medium-bodied palate and its long finish. The balance is such that it is guaranteed to age with grace.
