A delicious and elegant start to any celebration, the Henriot Brut Souverain is the most historical cuvée of the house, first produced in 1808.
A symbol of the precise, elegant style of Champagne Henriot’s wines, Brut Souverain appeals with its nose of white flower and citrus fruit notes, then with an elegant, harmonious palate. An ideal aperitif. Made up of a balanced proportion of Chardonnay, the majority from the Côte des Blancs, and Pinot Noir, mostly from the Montagne de Reims. Around 8% Pinot Meunier adds a delicate fruity note. Four years on lees prior to disgorgement leads to a wonderful level of complexity and finesse.
Gorgeous with oysters, caviar, smoked salmon, lobster, and other fine seafood. On the other, it’s got a real affinity for fried foods that’s impossible to resist - French fries,
It appeals with gorgeous citrus and white blossom aromas balanced by notes of pastry and brioche.
It has a chalky line of minerality that harmonises with a toasty mid-palate, and a fine and classic long finish. Very classy.
