Joshua Cooper Pinot Noir 2024
Joshua Cooper, a prominent young winemaker from the Macedon Ranges in Victoria, Australia, has garnered acclaim for his meticulous approach to viticulture and winemaking. Growing up at Cobaw Ridge winery, established by his parents, Alan and Nelly Cooper, Joshua was immersed in the world of wine from an early age. He launched his own label in 2012, focusing on varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from carefully selected vineyards across central and western Victoria.
The 2024 Joshua Cooper Pinot Noir is crafted from grapes grown in the exposed granite soils of Dash Farm. This vineyard's unique terroir contributes to the wine's distinctive character. The winemaking process emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing the fruit to express its inherent qualities.
Roast Duck or Pork
Bright ruby red, and immediately inviting, black raspberry, red cherry, exotic spices and woody herb aromatics fill the glass, with a subtle flinty, smokey complexity.
The palate as is usual for our style is full of red fruit and spicy complexity, structured by fresh acid and fine, powdery tannins which lend plenty of seriousness to this early release wine.
