Description

Harvested from a diverse selection of sites in Kallstadt, and a singular vineyard in Bad Dürkheim characterized by its light, sandy soils, the grapes for this wine were meticulously handpicked, destemmed, and underwent fermentation in stainless steel. Presenting itself as a pale, succulent, and nervy libation, it boasts captivating cranberry and cherry fruit, accompanied by fresh soil notes and a subtle, restrained oak influence.

Koehler-Ruprecht, situated in the village of Kallstadt at the northern tip of Pfalz, stands as one of the region's oldest and most esteemed producers. While renowned for their exceptional single-site Rieslings from the Saumagen vineyard, the entire range is marked by excellence, emphasizing top-quality estate fruit, natural ferments, and extended lees-aging in large, seasoned oak barrels.

Under the ownership of the Sauvage family, known for their Burnt Cottage venture, local talent Dominik Sona, who has returned to Pfalz from winemaking abroad, now steers the ship, promising a continuation of the winery's legacy of excellence.
