In 2005, Fabien Coche, a fourth-generation vigneron, assumed control of his family's estate. With a lineage deeply rooted in Burgundy's esteemed winemaking heritage (the Coche-Dury family had previously been part of the same estate until 1940, now overseen by Fabien's cousin, Raphael), Fabien is making a significant impact throughout the region. His domain encompasses an impressive expanse of vineyards, spanning approximately 11 hectares across various appellations such as Meursault, Monthelie, Pommard, and Auxey-Duresses.
A noteworthy aspect of Fabien's winemaking approach lies in the family's commitment to organic farming practices. Since 1998, they have dedicated themselves to cultivating their 40 vine plots using sustainable and environmentally-friendly methods. Furthermore, the vineyard boasts an extraordinary average vine age, with over 60% of the vines surpassing the age of 60, a testament to the family's long-standing presence in the industry.
