Celebrating regions known for producing exceptional Pinot Noir, the Mumm Terroirs collection is a range of wines that showcase a true sense of place crafted using the Méthode Traditionnelle technique.
Mumm Marlborough’s exceptional sparkling wines are made from New Zealand’s finest grapes united with the traditional expertise of Champagne Maison Mumm. Mumm Marlborough’s sparkling wines are made using the Méthode Traditionnelle, which follows the same procedures used by Maison Mumm to create its champagne: a complex, long and demanding process that allows the wines to fully develop a wealth of flavours.
Mumm Marlborough Brut Rosé is a Pinot Noir dominant cuvée made from the best parcels in our vineyards. The most attractive qualities of New Zealand Pinot Noir allow the creation of this elegant, complex and structured wine. The grapes were hand harvested from owned vineyards before gentle whole-bunch pressing to preserve elegance and finesse. All parcels were fermented separately either in seasoned French Oak Cuves or stainless steel and left on ferment whilst undergoing full malolactic fermentation.
The assemblage, followed by a further 48 months in bottle on yeast lees contribute the enhanced baked shortbread, smooth texture, and flavour in the final blend. 25% Reserve wine and 5% of Cuvee fermented material was decided for the blend assemblage. The liqueur is made from 100% Pinot Noir Méthode Base held in older oak barrels.
