Two Tonne Tasmania STH Pinot Noir 2024
STH (south) is sourced from the Derwent and Coal River Valley’s in southern Tasmania.
From three different sites across the Derwent and the Coal River Valleys. It is the most dark fruited of the sub regional releases, driven by the mature fruit from Nocton Vineyard. It saw around 25% whole bunches in the blend overall, balancing the density and structure we find in these southern vineyards.
This is one plush, seductive Pinot Noir that showcases the natural power of Southern Tasmania. Ricky Evans is one of Tasmania's most dynamic winemakers. Over his time since serendipitously starting the Two Tonne Tasmania label in 2013, Ricky's approach to both farming grapes and making wine has matured dramatically. The young gun is now an established player in the upper echelon of the island and is set to be one of Tasmania's most influential voices in wine for many years to come.
Roast Duck or Pork
Despite its brooding character, there’s a floral, almost ethereal lift to this vintage, balancing the wine’s richness with elegance.
If you love Pinot with a bit more muscle but still want the purity and energy that define Tasmanian wine, this is your pick. The smallest release of the range and always in high demand—if you’re keen, don’t wait.
