The dry Moscatel de Alejandría 2014 Mountain Blanco is produced with purchased grapes cropped from a dry and warm year that raisinated the grapes on the vine. The wine was fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts and matured for nine months in tank. It's very dry and I found it very spicy and herbal, with aromas reminiscent of stinging nettle, more in the style of a Sauvignon Blanc than a floral Moscatel. There is great freshness on the palate so this would be fantastic with food.
