Bouchard Père & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, maintaining tradition for nearly three centuries across nine generations of winemakers - an almost unbelievable claim to make.
With a sprawl of vineyard holdings over the Cote d’Or, they are producing small quantities of an extensive terroir of Burgundy that allows for a deep exploration into old vines, and individual site expression in each cuvée.
The Chardonnay’s from Saint-Aubin portray the colour and flavour of sunshine. It is a joyful balance of jasmine flowers, green almonds and a touch of flint for added complexity. Beautiful pale yellow in colour with silver highlights. Fresh and delicate with predominant aromas of white blossoms such as hawthorn and honeysuckle, a touch of lychee and some mineral nuances. Coherence with the nose expressing a harmonized floral profile. Leaves a lovely sensation of freshness on the finish.
