The Reserve Cellar is proud to introduce Chatto Wines. Lagarostrobos Franklinii is the scientific name for Huon Pine. Endemic to the south west of Tasmania, and from which Chatto’s beautiful valley is named. Famed for its beauty, aroma and longevity, much like the Pinot Noirs which share this magic place.
100% sourced from the Huon Valley, this Pinot Noir showcases an enticing bouquet of dark cherry, milk chocolate, and fennel. On the palate, the intensity of the fruit is complemented by a well-balanced acidity that adds liveliness to each sip. Overall, this wine exudes a vivacious and energetic character, offering a truly delightful tasting experience
With 25+ years of winemaking experience, Jim Chatto is also a senior wine show judge with over 20 years of experience across both regional, capital city shows and was the Chairman of Judges for the National Wine Show of Australia 2014-2016.
