Inama Vin Soave Classico DOC 2023
In the 1960s Giuseppe Inama, purchased parcels of old vine garganega on the volcanic soils of Soave Classico. His son Stefano developed the fabulously textural style of the Inama whites, with fermentation in stainless steel and small French oak for garganega and sauvignon blanc. With his sons Matteo, Luca and Alessio, Stefano recognised the untapped potential of near by Colli Berici, for the production of elegant, savoury reds from Bordeaux varieties, (cabernet, merlot and carmenère).
From the winemaker about this wine: “Vin Soave is our entry-level wine and represents half of our overall production. We define it as “a little luxury for everyday.” Classic, harmonic and intense wine. Ideal high-end wine by the glass: excellent quality/price ratio. All our vineyards are located in the Soave Classico area: an hilly area with basaltic-volcanic soil. Minerality and field flower notes make the wine pleasant and intriguing, easy to match with food. It never tires!
“Garganega: this variety was introduced in the Classic area 2,000 years ago by the Romans. Vinification in stainless steel tank. Not fruit-driven; mineral and floral notes that cleanse the palate, making it food-friendly with lots of dishes.”
Risotto and white fish, raw fish, salads.
Mineral on the palate with sweet almond on the finish.
Elegant nose of sweet field flowers; camomile, elderflower, iris.
