All the licorice and sarsaparilla, baking spices, some floral things, and dark cherry. Medium-bodied, dark spices biscuits, freshly polished boots, root vegetables, smooth supple tannin, a sort of dried cranberry flavour and bite to acidity, sooty and sweet, and dry and moderately long it goes. It’s a very interesting wine. Smells great, tastes maybe a bit baked, the front is good, the middle is in the middle, the finish is not bad. Makes you think though.
