Ceretto Barolo DOCG 2018
In the late 80s, the Ceretto family found an old farmstead on the outskirts of Alba and gradually transformed it into its main office. This estate, known as Monsordo Bernardina and historically linked to the love story between Vittorio Emanuele II and the beautiful Rosina, within a few years became the main hub of the company; here we carry out not only the activities associated with the production and refinement of some of the most important wine labels but also the administrative and commercial activities, offices and warehouse. There are more than 30 hectares of vineyards that surround the farmstead, both traditional and international varieties, all grown under strong principles of environmental sustainability.
Richly flavoured dishes
The 2018 Barolo has rich notes of sweet red fruit and hints of tobacco on the nose. The soft tannins and balanced acidity keep the wine radiant. A complete joy on its own by the glass or when paired with a myriad of simple or rich foods. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels then aged for 18 months in oak casks. It then remains a further 22 months in bottle before release.
