The grapes are meticulously hand-harvested from the prestigious Grand Cru Les Blanchots vineyard at Domaine Laroche. They are carefully collected in small crates and transported to the winery, where they undergo a rigorous sorting process. Each parcel is vinified separately to preserve its unique characteristics throughout the winemaking process.
Every summer, the finest wines from Grand Cru Les Blanchots are blended. Samples from each vat, cask, and barrel are tasted and selected for their delicacy and silky nuances. The goal is to capture the essence of the terroir in the glass, striving for a wine that is refined, intense, mineral, and capable of maturing for at least twenty years—the ultimate expression of Grand Cru Les Blanchots.
Since 1991, the finest cuvée of Domaine Laroche has been crafted in the historic cellars of the Obédiencerie, representing the pinnacle of their winemaking excellence.
Named after Laroche's medieval head office in Chablis, this wine comes from selected parcels of Les Blanchots. The wine is concentrated and delineated with acidity, white fruits and a steely textured edge. It needs to age, so drink from 2025. Roger Voss
