Sordo Barolo Monvigliero DOCG 2019
The Sordo winemaking estate traces its roots back to the early years of the twentieth century, when Giuseppe Sordo embarked on the cultivation of vineyards and winemaking in the quaint village of Garbelletto, nestled in the township of Castiglione Falletto in 1912. This historic vineyard, situated in the municipality of Verduno, is renowned as one of the most esteemed and coveted in the region, owing its grand cru status to a unique microclimate that has garnered recognition from both researchers and experts as one of the finest vineyard terrains in the area.
Nebbiolo pairs well with rich, hearty dishes like roasted red meats, truffle-based dishes, or aged cheeses.
Greater complexity than Ravera at this early stage in its life with florals, earthy, truffled layers on red fruits, classic roses, and woody herbs at play, along with hints of baking spice, feeling a little more relaxed compared to the Ravera.
Excellent tannins, fine, precise, long, and evenly matching the fruit throughout the full length of the palate, offering outstanding purity.
