Sordo Giovanni is a single family that owns over 50 hectares of vineyards between Langhe and Roero. For four generations they have been producing exceptional wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto d’Alba, Barbera D’Alba, and many more. The family-run winery was founded in 1912 and became famous with the great contribution of Giovanni Sordo.
Barolo wine is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. (The other two were Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano).
