Bouchard Père & Fils Meursault Perrières 1er Cru 2017
Notes of matchstick and reduction push the underlying fruit to the background though I suspect that the nose will clean up with a few years of aging. Otherwise, there is very good volume to the surprisingly lush, even opulent, middle-weight flavours though there is plenty of the hallmark minerality suffusing the well-balanced bitter lemon-inflected finish. This could also be approached young.
